RULES OF PROCEDURE GRIMP IN FOREST DATED 01/01/2019
READ BEFORE PRACTICING THE DIFFERENT COURSES OR PENETRATING
By purchasing a right of access to the acrobatic course in height Grimp in Forest of Briançon or
more simply entering the site as a visitor without getting on the facilities, you
accept all the clauses of this regulation. You operate on the site and / or on the site (s)
course at your own risk. Your responsibility can be blamed if you have
violated the rules and provisions contained in these rules of procedure.
Grimp in Forest de Briançon reserves the right to exclude, without any right of refund, any
person who behaves unsafe for himself or for others and / or who does not respect
not this Regulation. Grimp in Forest de Briançon assumes no responsibility in case of
non-compliance with safety instructions or these internal regulations.
1. Definition of the activity:
The acrobatic courses in height are spaces of activity ludic secured allowing
practitioners to walk high, independently and more or less acrobatically, on and
between trees or other natural or non-natural supports. This park consists of 5 courses and
a zip line of 114 meters. The activity is carried out with protective equipment
individual climbing type. Respect the trees while always staying on the marked paths
to avoid bruising the roots of trees by compacting the soil.
Autonomous practice of the activity:
This activity is autonomous as defined by the instruction of the Ministry of Youth and Sport n
07-103 JS of July 30, 2007.

- This activity is not framed. It is monitored from the ground by park operators.
- The practitioner moves in complete autonomy in accordance with these rules and instructions
given at the beginning of the session.
- The practitioner uses the equipment and facilities of the park at his own risk.
- The organizing company can not be held responsible for deterioration or loss
personal belongings of the customers as of the persons accompanying him or still in stroll on
the site or objects entrusted to it at the reception or park staff.
2. Definition of the service provided:
The service provided includes, a right of access to the route, the provision and implementation of
the equipment of the practitioners, the description of the activity and the instructions for safety and use
hardware, implementation on a test path for validation by an operator and the
monitoring, advice and / or help during the session.
3. Right of access to the courses and entrance to the site:
The entrance fee to the park gives access once to the courses. Performing partially or
not at all a course gives no right to any refund. The site is also accessible
free of charge for visitors who do not have access to the highways (visitors, family

4. Access conditions to the highways:
To access the routes in height, it is imperative:
- To have paid an entrance fee to the reception before the access to the facilities.
- Have benefited from the explanations of safety instructions at the beginning of the session

5. Age, size, weight and support conditions:

long hair. Flip flops are forbidden. Grimp in Forest Briançon can not be held
responsible for dirt or degradations of clothing and advises participants to
privilege non-fragile outfits that can get dirty.
The participant must take all the measures to avoid any accident, and in particular
to tie the hair to avoid the risk of tearing in the pulley, emptying its pockets (risk
falling objects), remove personal effects that may represent a hazard during
activity (jewels, bags, piercings, shoe laces not tied, cameras,
cameras, ...), etc. It is recommended to wear closed clothes.
• Security equipment :
Before departure, participants must be equipped with protective equipment
individual Briançon Forest Climber (harness, lanyards, pulley, helmet and headlamp for
nocturnal course). Only Grimp in Forest official equipment from Briançon is allowed and
compatible with the installations. This equipment is subject to a systematic visual inspection
before each use and periodic complete checks according to the standards in force.
The practitioner keeps his equipment throughout the course and does not lend it to anyone. In case of
loss, Grimp in Forest de Briançon will ask the participant to repay the lost equipment
The various protection devices (against falls from height, as well as shocks) are
equipment designed to limit the consequences of falls or shocks. They do not
not guarantee that the practitioner is systematically unscathed after possible
shocks or falls (from XPS 52-902). It is therefore forbidden to solicit unnecessarily or
abusively the security equipment put in place (personal protective equipment, stop
falls, workshops, ...).
The participants undertake to respect the equipment (platforms, cables, panels, ...). In
case of deliberate degradation, Briancon's Grimp in Forest will charge the damaged equipment at the price
• Safety instructions :
For practitioners only:
- Participants must attend the safety briefing
(instructions). It allows to show and put into practice safety rules and adaptation
to the equipment as well as the different kinds of workshop. They must also pass on one
practice routes to practice these safety instructions and test
his abilities. Anyone who, at the end of the briefing or test course, does not feel comfortable
able, physically or morally, to perform the manipulations alone
essential to a self-insurance evolution (autonomously) must give up the activity.
Park staff reserves the right to deny access to any person who does not have the
sufficient physical or motor skills on these training courses.
- The participant is responsible for observing the safety instructions and must constantly
personally ensure his removal from the trees by staying permanently connected to

- The participant must systematically read the signage of each workshop and respect
scrupulously the instructions mentioned therein.
- Only one person at a time must pass on a zipline. 3 people maximum can
borrow other workshops.
- It is forbidden to interrupt and / or leave a course before the end without the authorization and
the assistance of a facilitator.
- Participants resuming the activity, after a break, must have their equipment checked again
individual protection by one of the course facilitators.
For all (practitioners and accompanying persons, walkers ...):
- In case of problems, please inform park staff by any means
useful. All staff have been trained to meet the requirements of
service and security.
- It is risky to walk under the workshops because of the possibilities of falling
objects (phones ...).
- Always stay on marked trails and read the signage provided for this
effect. It is strictly forbidden to cross the boundaries of marked trails (cords,
barriers ...), even to take a picture, to avoid any risk and respect the trees and the

Activity is possible even in rainy weather. However, in case of severe weather (storm,

The participants undertake to respect the environment (trees, fauna, flora) and to remain on the
marked trails. It is therefore forbidden to go beyond the barriers and ropes delimiting these
paths, tearing plants, picking flowers ...
6- Opening hours:
Access is permitted only during park hours.
Access to the highways is strictly prohibited outside opening hours
(unsecured and unsupervised facilities).
7 - Generalities:
The participants commit to practice the activity in all courtesy and in a good mood.
The picnic area is strictly reserved for guests.
8 - Insurance:
Grimp in Forest de Briançon incurs professional liability insurance. The price
of entry does not include insurance to practitioners, and in particular individual insurance

We provide maintenance and daily control of the workshops. All our equipment (helmets, shoulder harnesses, etc ...) are CE approved.
Our animators are professionals (holder of the BE Escalade or CQP Course Operators) and are there to advise you throughout the course. We provide an initiation for all.
All workshops and courses are within sight of the course operators.
